The new dock

The new dock is finally completed and installed! Unlike the old dock, this one floats. That means it will rise and fall as the lake levels fluctuate, which will hopefully protect it from some of the wear and tear that eventually made the old dock unsafe.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t safe to re-install the diving tower onto the floating dock, so the tower is now part of camp history.

Where's the dock?

In 2020, the diving tower and dock became structurally unsound and had to be taken down. We are in the midst of replacing the structure, but the company hired to do the work has Covid-related delays and was not able to build a new dock for the 2021 season. We expect to have a new, safe dock and diving tower in the water for the 2022 season.

In the meantime, we have a new floating raft that kids enjoy, along with all the usual lake activities ranging from kayaking to canoeing.

Projects large and small

There are many projects on our To Do list! Some of these will be done immediately, while others will take time to organize and execute. If you have ideas about other projects that should be added to this list, please let us know. Here are a few we are focused on at the moment:

  • Repairing the diving tower and platform

  • Taking down the Winlock House, which is unfortunately no longer structurally sound

  • Stabilizing the foundation of Hick’s House

  • Replacing the stove, grill, and hood in the kitchen

  • Building a path at the waterfront between the boat house and the beach

  • Replenishing sand at the waterfront
